​As part of the long-term development of Spiritan Springs, it is our hope to be able to provide residential accommodation for the elderly that will include health care, catering and leisure facilities. This will be operated on a fee-paying basis, the profits from which will support other welfare ventures within the community.

For our elders who wish to remain in their own homes in the wider community, the Spiritans aim to assist local families in providing support and care suited to their needs. This can be done by working with NGO's and community members. Spiritans congregational members and volunteers, including medical staff, will also ensure that none of the elders in the community are left without provision for their basic needs, nor ever have reason to feel isolated or lonely.

The Spiritans are blessed to have qualified counsellors in the congregation, experienced in providing counselling for couples, families, neighbours and communities. The need for pre-marital counselling, especially, cannot be under-estimated for the many benefits that it will bring couples and their families in the years ahead of them. Couples planning to marry are all recommended to take part in this stimulating and encouraging process, to avoid difficulties later.

Leisure time spent with others strengthens the ties between families and neighbours, promoting understanding and peace. Better still... it's fun! Of course, reduced stress levels that result from participation in exercise, the arts or just friendly conversation are beneficial to physical and emotional health, too. Our vision includes a leisure complex, including a Friends' Meeting Centre, equipped with wifi, large screen t.v., a snack bar and catering facilities. In addition there will be a childrens' play area, pools and a sports pitch. We're looking forward to inviting our neighbours to feast day picnics, dances, swimming galas, competitions and lots of social events!
