Healthcare

Routine Medical Care

As soon as possible, professionally-trained staff, resident on-site will offer health screening and diagnostic services together with health management programmes, including vaccination. Patients will receive care for heart disease, diabetes, AIDS, HIV, hepatitis, malaria and more.

Once Spiritans Springs becomes established and funding can be secured, a modern, well-equipped, medical facility will become the local base for health care, as there is no such centre locally at present.

Maternity services

Delivering ante-natal, maternity and post-natal care of mothers and children; maternity services will run alongside the health care provision as soon as it is possible to secure funding and recruit the highly-trained staff necessary to provide these essential services. Family planning advice and education in line with Christian principles and traditional Nigerian practice will also be provided.

Pharmacy

Offering both traditional herbal medicine alongside commercial prescribed and over the counter preparations, the pharmacy will be a key part of managing the health of the surrounding communities. Managed by a qualified pharamcist and supported by trained technicians, the pharmacy will also offer clinics for asthma, diabetes, smoking cessation and more.

Dental care

As the health centre grows, a dental clinic will be included among the available services, offering routine dental checks and procedures. Education on the importance of and management of oral health will also be provided.
